Joel Harris is a visual artist who makes his home in the scenic Santa Cruz mountains of central California.A native of the Golden State, Joel studied American History and Art as an undergraduate and received his Masters in Communication and Documentry Film Production from Stanford University in 1994.While he does work on the occasional film project, the art form he loves best is sculpture.
He sells his creations at art and wine shows, online and creates custom awards for the Aerospace and Aviation industry.
Joel creates his originals in wax, wood, or cloth; then by using traditional lost wax methods and the latest experimental techniques, his creations are cast into bronze.
A lifelong collector of Vintage and Classic vehicles and a fan of Western Americana,Joel has incorporated these interests into his own unique brand of Western art he calls Kowboy Kitsch®.
In his spare time, Joel enjoys working on his old machines and flying antique airplanes.
